Scarred Tree Indigenous Ministries

We are an Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, and Australian South Sea Islander ministry based in the heart of Glebe, Sydney. Grounded in community, worship, and personal and collective growth, our ministry flows through services, justice and community support, counselling, youth programs, and special projects. We gather regularly—through monthly community events and significant cultural celebrations like NAIDOC Week and Coming of the Light—to strengthen connections and celebrate who we are. We live in spiritual closeness with the land, our cultures, and our heritage. We rejoice in our Creator, holding together what it means to be both authentically Indigenous and authentically Christian. As part of St John’s Anglican Church, Glebe, we are committed to walking with our community, locally, nationally and internationally, and responding to its needs with love and purpose.
